MSC receives world’s largest container ship MSC Gulsun from SHI
Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) has delivered the world’s largest container ship to MSC Shipping company.
The vessel can carry twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) up to 23,756 a moment.
MSC Gulsun is the first ship of the TEU class to arrive from a batch of six ordered in September 2017 by Swiss-based MSC.
The container ship, which is 400 m long, is 61,5 m wide and 33,2 m high. It is equipped with a contemporary intelligent dispensing scheme and exhaust gas cleaning systems that remove exhaust emissions from particulate matter after combustion of diesel.
